Rowe Announces Grants to Support 85th District Fire, EMS
February 12, 2026
HARRISBURG – Grant funding was awarded to numerous first responder companies that serve the 85th District under the PA Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, according to Rep. David H. Rowe (R-Snyder/Union/Mifflin/Juniata).
Thirty fire companies and ambulance squads serving Rowe’s district are recipients of the grants administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner. The funding can be used for construction or renovations, equipment purchases and repairs, and existing debt reduction.
“First responders deserve unwavering advocacy and support. These grant awards are just one small way to demonstrate our gratitude for all they do without spending General Fund tax dollars. Many of the companies in my district are run by volunteers and need these dollars to make equipment upgrades, so they can continue to serve our communities safely,” said Rowe. “Thank you to all who answer the call of duty!”
